Studio City is a wonderful community in the San Fernando Valley which stretches south from the 101 freeway all the way to Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills. It borders up to Universal City to the East and Sherman Oaks to the West. Many residents work in film, TV, music, and other entertainment industries. This is because of the many film and television studios which give Studio City its name. One notable location is the CBS Studio Center, which is one of the oldest film and TV studios in the area. Studio City is also home to many parks and areas for outdoor recreation. Fryman Canyon Park is a great example of this, featuring a fitness course and many hiking trails that crisscross all through the Santa Monica Mountains. Another attraction in Studio City is the Los Angeles River Bicycle Path and River Walk, which is a lovely riverside path with scenery and shade. Studio City also boasts one of the valley’s oldest farmers markets, serving fresh organic produce as well as artisan foods & crafts. The market also has entertainment for young children and picnic areas to enjoy the delicious food that’s available. Because Studio City is so close to the 101 freeway, residents can get virtually anywhere in Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley with ease.
